2. Arturri Lehkonen

Jonathan Drouin is out for the entire first round of the 2023-24 NHL playoffs against the Winnipeg Jets. It’s impressive to see Drouin go from a player who some questioned his abilities earlier in the season to a guy who we are concerned about his absence.

Arturri Lehkonen, the team’s second-line left-wing, could replace Drouin on the top line. He has 16 goals and 18 assists in 45 games played this season, and has played with the top line before. He’s probably one of the better options the Colorado Avalanche have to replace Drouin this series.

One thing I always like to stress is team chemistry. I feel like Lehkonen and MacKinnon click nicely together.

It’s possible that Lehkonen plays a significant role in the team’s success during this year’s playoff run. Unfortunately, it could be caused by the injury to Drouin, but the hope is that Drouin returns if the Colorado Avalanche advance to the second round.

I would not sleep on the possibility of Lehkonen having a big impact in the next few games, and hopefully even longer.
