The Colorado Avalanche have clinched their playoff berth. We look at their best social media posts over the past week.
As the Colorado Avalanche continued to fight for their playoff spot things got a little feisty on the ice during warm ups.
Captain Gabriel Landeskog decided that wearing his helmet the regular way was boring. Small things like this, I imagine, help relieve the stress for everyone a little bit. And for the fans itβs certainly fun.
Nikita Zadorov evidently decided this was a good idea and followed suit later in the week.
Colin Wilson scored a goal so incredible I wrote an entire separate piece about it. The social media team were just as blown away as the rest of us.

The entire team stepped up while Gabriel Landeskog was out with an injury, and when he got back he jumped straight back into things as though heβd never been away. Itβs been so amazing to watch the team come together with such drive and determination to make it to the postseason.
Despite claiming that this wasnβt coordinated Colin Wilson and Matt Calvert, who both grew up in Winnipeg, wore almost identical suits to the game against the Winnipeg Jets.
Of course there was much excitement on the bench as well as on the ice when the team qualified for the playoffs.
The social media team were just as excited as everyone else. I love little moments like this. You really get to make an emotional connection to the media team. Weβre all in this together.
The excitement carried on to the next day. Thereβs so much going on in the celebration hugs that it needs to be viewed from all angles.
Unsurprisingly everyone was all smiles on the way to the plane to catch their flight to San Jose.
Mikko Rantanen made the trip with the team but practiced in a no-contact jersey. Itβs unclear whether he will be healthy enough to participate in the first playoff game.
Colin Wilson, Gabriel Landeskog and Erik Johnson all warmed up without their helmets, which made for an excellent series of photos.
It was a good day for photos of my faves.
Just as the game in San Jose started Dallas won their game, confirming them in the first wild card spot. This means the Avalanche will play the Calgary Flames in the first round of the playoffs.
After scoring a goal during the game Nathan Mackinnon was one point away from making it to 100. Sadly, it did not come to fruition.
Before the playoffs start the draft lottery takes place on Tuesday. The Avs have the greatest chance of taking the first overall pick, and are guaranteed a top four pick.
Weβll be back next week to bring you the first playoffs social media highlights. Iβm sure there are going to be some great ones.
