Colorado Avalanche players in British Columbia have recently been featured in former NHL player, and current internet personality, Paul Bissonnette’s videos. Tyson Jost is the latest victim.
The Colorado Avalanche have been getting a little love this off season from an unlikely source. @BizNasty2point0 on twitter, also known as Paul Bissonnette. As stated on his twitter profile:
"“Retired NHL 4th line plug, Now working in the world of media with the @arizonacoyotes. Proud member of the @spittinchiclets podcast & @newbalance “athlete”.”"
Like I stated his words not mine.

At the beginning of the off season Bissonnette did a mini series called “Biz Nasty does BC” where he traveled around British Columbia and interviewed hockey players. Well he decided to get with Tyson Barrie, but not in an interview setting.
They raced and, I don’t mean to give the ending away, but if you don’t want to see Barrie lose, maybe don’t watch the episode. However I will say the character Barrie plays is very interesting. He plays the spoiled, rich, bad boy kind of character. If you have met Barrie you will know that’s the farthest thing from the truth, at least with fans — I don’t actually know the guy.
However, when he is playing this part, he looks a little uncomfortable with it. It’s a little funny just to watch him acting. I mean let’s face it, they can’t all be Nathan MacKinnon and be on Trailor Park Boys.
I was just happy to see a Colorado Avalanche player during the summer.
Biz also did a video/podcast. He interviewed our other Tyson — Tyson Jost — as well as Blake Comeau. Blake is not with the Avs any longer, though he was for three seasons. He also hosted a charity baseball event which different Avs players attended.
It was a little odd in the video and awkward because Comeau hardly talks, if he talks at all I just don’t remember.
Biz is mostly interviewing Jost the entire time. He talks to Jost about his experience playing in college even though it was short-lived. Jost talks about the atmosphere at UND — how electric it is and how the fans are even chanting throughout the game. He remarks that hockey is all there is to do. In fact, the producer jokes that the players have to be “rock stars up there.” Jost doesn’t deny it, but he does “bristle” at being called cocky.
Honestly it made me want to attend a UND game just to see what that is like. Of course I would be pulling for DU.
I thought the video was fun. It’s a bit shorter then the episode with Barrie, but the content is more localized around Jost, not as a character in one of Biz’s episodes.
Thank you Biz, for getting fans through the off season with your interesting take on things. Glad to see someone showing interest during the off season.
