Colorado Avalanche players Nathan MacKinnon and Tyson Barrie seem to be best buddies on the team.
Colorado Avalanche players, just like any other NHLers spend a lot of time together. Not only are there dozens of practices and games, but they also travel for half those games. Plus, they have something obvious in common — love of hockey.
It’s inevitable players will develop tight friendships. There’s a brotherhood in hockey. Indeed, players often express the friendships they develop as being as close as family. Sometimes hockey bros last longer than marriages.
You always hear about players who go about town with one or two special buddies. Indeed, back in the Colorado Avalanche heyday, Rene Corbet, Eric LaCroix and Stephane Yelle even got a luxury condo together right by the Pepsi Center. (I still give the building a little look every time I’m walking over to Pepsi Center.)
Well, defenseman Tyson Barrie and center Nathan MacKinnon might not be checking out real estate, but they’re known for being good buddies. Barrie is a little older at 26 to MacKinnon’s 21. They come from opposite sides of the country — Barrie from urban Victoria, and MacKinnon from little Cole Harbour.
Nonetheless, the two seemed to have formed a fast friendship. Could be they share the same taste in music. It’s said Barrie is the team dj in the locker room, and we all know MacKinnon loves his music:
Well, whatever the explanation, Tyson Barrie and Nathan MacKinnon have embarked on an epic bromance.
See? Even the Colorado Avalanche Twitter account has noticed the epic bromance.
