With the Boston Bruins squaring off with the Pittsburgh Penguins in Part I of the Thanksgiving Showdown, a pair of Western Conference teams would hold the honor in Part II. Those two clubs are the Colorado Avalanche and Dallas Stars, and with the way things are going, this game could be a big one for the Avs as they try to pass their division rival in the standings.

So, if you have any questions about Part II of the Thanksgiving Showdown doubleheader, chances are you’ll find everything you need to know right here, from what time faceoff is, to what the lines may look like for both teams, and even how to watch.

What time is the Colorado Avalanche vs. Dallas Stars?

The Avalanche and Stars will square off at 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time, and it will be the final faceoff of the day, with the Edmonton Oilers and Utah Hockey Club starting play at the same time. But if 9:00 p.m. is a long time to wait for you to get your hockey fix, no worries, as there will be games going on all day.

Catch the NY Rangers and Philadelphia Flyers at 1:00 p.m. if you’re looking for something in the early afternoon. Or, if you’d like to see what’s going on in the Central Division, the Chicago Blackhawks are squaring off against the Minnesota Wild at 2:00 p.m.

What might the lines look like for both teams?

It’s never easy to decipher exactly what the lines will look like a couple of days from now, but we can make an educated guess based on what both teams’ coaches have rolled out as of November 25th.

What’s at stake for both teams?

The Avalanche have had one heck of a time clawing their way back up the Central Division, but they’re now within striking distance of the Stars. With 83 goals allowed heading into Tuesday night’s slate of games, defense and goaltending have been a liability all season for the Avs, but they can’t let that happen against one of the NHL’s premier teams.

As for the Stars, it’s all about keeping pace with the Winnipeg Jets and the Minnesota Wild, both of whom have been the class of the Western Conference alongside the Vegas Golden Knights. If the Stars lose this one, there’s a chance they’ll be in a deadlock for fourth place alongside the Avs, and with Colorado on the rise, losing won’t do them many favors.
