The 2024 NHL Draft gets underway this evening and there are so many things that have to be answered throughout the next two days. The only certainty is that the San Jose Sharks will be selecting Macklin Celebrini, a Forward out of Boston University. There have been many mock drafts that have different scenarios after the number one overall selection. It's anyone's guess who goes #2 and beyond.

The Colorado Avalanche have seven selections this year, including the 24th overall pick. They also have picks 121, 132, 137, 185, 215, and 217.

It's anybody's guess what the Avalanche will do with any of their draft picks, and my guess is that they will use their first round selection on a high-powered forward that can make a difference right away. Who that is, I'm not entirely sure, but they are going to have to find some help.

The draft picks off at 7 p.m. ET on Friday, and Rounds 2-7 take place on Saturday at 11:30 a.m.

Throughout Friday and Saturday, we will update this article with the additions of who the Colorado Avalanche select in the 2024 NHL Draft, any rumors from credible sources, and any trades that happen to go down as they relate to the team.
