Avalanche social media takes hilarious jab at Devils mascot after Tuesday night win

The Colorado Avalanche had a lot of fun on Tuesday night vs the Devils, and so did their social media team.

The Colorado Avalanche came away with an incredible 8-4 victory over the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday night at Ball Arena. It included some incredible plays by both sides (with Victor Olofsson recording a hat trick) as well as a fun postgame jab from one social media squad that resides in—you guessed it—Denver, Colorado.

"Devils,

Earlier today when you left crying after losing 8-4, NJ Devil was seen changing into an Avs jersey. Also, he was trying to sneak in to the Avs locker room.

When you left crying at Ball Arena, NJ Devil was holding hands and dancing with Bernie.

Multiple people in the league know, therefore you should know the truth."

When it’s all said and done, this sort of banter is just that—banter. It’s harmless but hilarious. I’m sure that some Devils fans might find it funny too, despite their team being on the losing end this time around. It’s one of those things where you just have to sit back and chuckle a little bit.

The Avalanche, despite losing last Sunday by a score of 3-2, played the Devils quite hard in that game. The Devils ended up winning it in overtime. It happens, just like the Avalanche dominating on Tuesday night can happen at any point. Both teams are playoff contenders, and both can have an off night.

This social media post by the Avalanche also brings back hilarious memories of when they wrote to each team in the NHL throughout the offseason. If you remember, they came up with some haikus directed at other teams in the NHL. It was just a fun and creative way to get through the offseason.

I will admit that I didn’t necessarily see this post directed at the Devils coming. Now I am curious to see what else the “Avsmin” team has up their sleeves for the future. I just have to say “bravo” to the social media team for coming up with something hilarious like this, and all of us here and Mile High Sticking can’t wait to find out what’s next.

But first, we have to wait and find out the outcome of upcoming games, the next one being on Friday against the Vegas Golden Knights, followed by Saturday in San Jose against the Sharks.

I really hope the “Avsmin” keeps at it!
