The Colorado Avalanche naturally aren’t playing right now, but through social media and other means, they’re still keeping us entertained.

The Colorado Avalanche continue to keep us posted as they practice self-isolation across the world (North America and Europe anyway). Some of them are hunkered down while others, in the free-wheeling Sweden, are golfing and yet others are buying trucks. (Bowen Byram.)

Meanwhile, two Avs players had Quarantine Birthdays last week — Joonas Donskoi (April 13) and Nikita Zadorov (April 16). Now, my friends and I decided quarantine birthdays don’t have to count toward your age, but when you’re turning 28 and 25 respectively, maybe it doesn’t matter.

As we know, both Jared Bednar and GM Joe Sakic spoke on Sports Social last week. Bednar expressed optimism about how quickly the team could get back to action. Sakic didn’t see them returning quite that quickly, but he saw some positives in the pause.

Meanwhile, Kyle Keefe — whom I swear has been more active during the pause than in the regular season — went on Instagram Live with defenseman Ian Cole. Cole was not… very serious, not surprisingly. He had some funny answers to amusing questions.

The NHL reached out to rookie sensation Cale Makar because, you know, superstud, to answer some questions. He is a… very poised young man. Read about his Q & A here:

So, as noted, Nikita Zadorov turned 25 last week. He didn’t make much of a hullabaloo about the birthday because the family celebrated what they obviously felt was a more important birthday — his daughter turned three.

They somehow managed to put on quite a birthday celebration for her despite the stay-at-home. They put on Instagram video a very indulgent-looking cake. I’d like to know where they got the cake from for my next birthday.

Now, as noted, captain Gabriel Landeskog has teamed up with KeyBank to give back to the community here in Colorado. In addition to donating $10,000 toward a local COVID-19 relief fund, they’ve also given out $50 gift cards to families going to pick up food curbside.

A few other social media heroes, Valeri Nichushkin did a video with his girlfriend in which… I’m not sure. She somehow upheld the 6-foot-4, 210-pound forward. And Pierre-Edouard Bellemare hosted a live workout session.

Also, former Av Tyson Barrie did a happy hour with BarDown — tequila shots were done. Fellow former Av Alexander Kerfoot also did a live workout — tarp on.

Well, Colorado Avalanche fans, how have you been spending your week?
