Has your favorite Colorado Avalanche player made it on the injury list this season?
It is always a bummer when your favorite player is down and out for a game, or two. After all, how are the Colorado Avalanche supposed to win when your favorite player isn’t even on the ice? Scarier yet, what if your player had a career-ending injury?!
I love the Colorado Avalanche team, as a whole. They work well together, both their skills and personalities meshing. But I am always rooting for my favorite player. I want to see my player have an outstanding game, to stand out and be the best. I am competitive about it.

Although hockey can be an aggressive sport, there are not as many serious injuries as there used to be due to the upgrade in sports gear. Also, the whole advance in sports medicine and technology really has had a positive progression.
This season, as we all know, the Colorado Avalanche has had quite a few injuries. Common injuries include concussion, back, hip, and knee injuries. Players also end up on the injury list when they are ill and their status remains day-to-day.

But what about Nathan MacKinnon’s lower-body injury costing him to miss one to two weeks of play? That was a big hit considering he hadn’t missed a game of the season and he is one of the major scorers for the Colorado Avalanche!
Now it just seems further away because it literally is postponed due to the coronavirus madness. I have to say I am missing ALL of my sports right now as I am sure you are as well. Look on the bright side — this is player recovery time.
The Colorado Avalanche players will come back stronger, healthier, and rejuvenated to win that Stanley Cup and bring it home to Denver. LET’S GO AVS!
