The Colorado Avalanche are now second in the Western Conference. We look back at the team’s social media highlights of the past week.
After a successful road trip the Colorado Avalanche returned home for a three game homestand this week. Back to the familiar home crowd media, Ian Cole was immediately ready with some reusable content.

It’s really fun when the social media team find something interesting and go through their process with us.
Okay, this (⬅️) face seems so random, we were very curious what he was reacting to...

So we looked back through photos, and this (➡️) is what we found.
Oh, Burky. #GoAvsGo pic.twitter.com/DXu3QkUgJb
Andre Burakovsky with his traditional smirk for the camera. But this time something is different.
Here comes the #BurkySmirk... #GoAvsGo pic.twitter.com/jVawDQK91l

Gabriel Landeskog clearly decided he wanted in on the action and offered his own version of the #BurkySmirk.
After Gabe walked by, he said: “Did you see my #BurkySmirk!?”

It’s been a while since we’ve seen one of the fun Ask The Avs videos and this one is a good one. I particularly love how halfway through Colin Wilson telling the story of the time an interviewer mistook him for Gabriel Landeskog, the name label on the video changes to Landeskog’s. The video editing team clearly have a good sense of humor.

Ice tennis could be the next big thing. It’s nice to see Philipp Grubauer getting to have some fun on the ice.
Optional practice today.

Ian Cole really does like to play with and tease the media team.
Lauren Jbara sat in Ian Cole’s stall during her interview.
— Colorado Avalanche (@Avalanche) December 13, 2019
But he was not nearly as patient as everyone else has been...

An important part of the pre-game ritual.
... Okay, NOW we feel ready for the game.#GoAvsGo pic.twitter.com/WogM1Nxp1B

Mikko Rantanen also has his own entrance tradition now, it seems.
Nikita Zadorov is back to his menacing ways. Also an important part of the pre-game ritual. This time he also tried to involve the social media team, but they were too fast for him.
... Then, he *tried* to throw snow on us.

We saw it coming.
Of course. #GoAvsGo https://t.co/jgqkKuUa9q
Pierre-Edouard Bellemare has been such a great addition to the team this season. It’s easy to see why the Vegas Golden Knights fans spoke so highly of him when he signed with the Avalanche.
This is AWESOME.

This typo has the potential to live on for at least the rest of the season. So much fun to be had.
A Freudian slip?

The Avalanche continue to shine a spotlight on women’s hockey by sharing the footage they took at Jesse Compher’s game last week.
The Avalanche unveiled some team themed Bud Light cans and who better to promote them than the captain. Well, I’m sure he got there in the end.

This week the Colorado Avalanche are back on the road for 2 games before returning back to Denver to end the week with 2 games at home. We’ll be back next week with more social media highlights.
