The Colorado Avalanche returned from their road trip with wins in all three games, bringing their winning streak to six. We look back at some of the team’s social media highlights of the past week.

After the Colorado Avalanche beat the Chicago Blackhawks for the second day in a row last weekend it was nice to see the squad being greeted by the players who missed the game due to injury.

As we rolled into December that meant it was time for another puppy calendar, this one featuring Philipp Grubauer.

It was time for the Avalanche’s annual holiday hospital visit. It’s a wonderful cause, and the team gets to spread some holiday cheer. The media team also gets to make fun of the players a little, which is also great.

Really it was a bunch of kids visiting a bunch of kids.

The team took to the road again and some sorely missed faces joined them. Matt Calvert, Mikko Rantanen and Gabriel Landeskog have all missed multiple games due to injuries. As they were close to being ready to return they accompanied the team on the road trip.

Usually I like to talk about game day suits but for the game in Toronto we only got to see one.

Pierre-Edouard Bellemare has definitely settled in nicely with his new team.

Andre Burakovsky was back after missing three games to injury and so was his signature smirk at the camera.

Gabriel Landeskog was also back after missing 16 games due to injury. The media team was just a little bit excited to see him back on the ice.

Women’s hockey, and college women’s hockey in particular, does not get anything close to the attention that it deserves. It was great to see the Avalanche shining some light on Jesse Compher and her team.

J.T. Compher also shining some light on how the work the media team does is harder than it looks.

It’s nice to see that J.T. doesn’t shy away from the camera when he’s there to support his sister.

It’s no surprise to see that Tyson Jost was there too. He spent Thanksgiving with the Comphers a couple of weeks ago and is more or less part of the family at this point. It’s nice to see Sam Girard there too, though.

The team was clearly in good spirits ahead of the game against Boston.

Nikita Zadorov has clearly perfected the art of being a menace. Not only does he mess with players during their warmup interviews, but when they’re expecting it he doesn’t do it. Obviously he has to keep them on their toes.

After J.T. supported Jesse by attending her game, she returned the favor by attending his.
