The Colorado Avalanche the one, the only, the best,  Mile High team! If you’re a new fan, here are some basics so far.

This season the Colorado Avalanche was undefeated the longest. When a team is doing that good, its bound to have new supporters. To that I say “Welcome to the Fandom!”

If you’ve been a fan, you do not need any more reasons to stick around. The loyalty is real with this fandom. For the new Colorado Avalanche fans out there, I cannot blame you. Took you long enough to join us over here on the high side of life.

More from Mile High Sticking

Speaking for myself, I am so excited to continue watching how this season progresses. Let me recap a few things for those of you that missed out. I’m sorry you missed it. hopefully this can satisfy you, at least slightly.

There is nothing like being at a game in the Pepsi Center with the intense energy and uplifting vibes. There is no bad time had at a Colorado Avalanche home game! The Colorado Avalanche won its first four games, all of which were home games. The Colorado Avalanche won 5-3 against the Calgary Flames in the season opener. Click here for the recap of that game!

The Colorado Avalanche won division rivalry night against the Minnesota Wild 4-2. Mikko Rantanen starting off this game, he scored a goal far side in the first period. Pierre-Edouard Bellemare scoring next with his first goal as a Colorado Avalanche! Bellmare might be older (for an NHL player, I mean, he’s only 34) but he knows how to play the game and he’s tough to play against!

The Colorado Avalanche won against the Bruins 4-2 and finished their home stretch with a win in overtime against the Arizona Coyotes 3-2.

Overtime is always an exciting time. The anxiety is up. Your muscles are tense. You’re either on your feet biting your nails, or maybe on the edge of your seat with your hands clenched tight. It all comes down to this moment. May the best team win and of course the Colorado Avalanche do! Thank you Andre Burakovsky for that game winning goal!

Grubauer has also made some really good saves this season. Could you imagine being the goalie? All the skaters coming towards you. Having to anticipate where the shot is being taken from and where it’ll land. It honestly gives me anxiety just thinking about it! Some of the saves are honestly incredible.

The Colorado Avalanche have brought the excitement! They may have lost their first game of the 19-20 season against the Pittsburgh Penguins 3-2, in overtime, but the momentum, mentality, and skill are all in the favor of the Colorado Avalanche.

Currently Mikko Rantanen and Nathan MacKinnon are tied for most points on the team. Both players have four goals and six assists. The players have so much to give and the season is just getting started. Watch out Avalanche fans, because this season is only going to get better!

Welcome to the fandom guys and let’s go AVS!
