The Colorado Avalanche have played their first game in the second round of the playoffs. We look back at some of their best social media posts of the past week.
The Colorado Avalanche are continuing the fun tradition of Playoff Polaroids and shared a nice photo of the entire Round 1 collection. They’ve already promised to send them out to fans once the playoffs are over and I’m pretty sure there’s going to be a fight for them when the time comes.

Nikita Zadorov, who is known for his sharp suits on game days, went for a more casual look when he was interviewed on CBS Denver this week.
Tyson Barrie was mic’d up during practice and I feel the recorded audio really gave us some insight into what he’s like as a person on the ice.

The team went to a Nuggets game before flying to San Jose. It was nice to see them looking happy and relaxed ahead of the next round.

Now that the Flames have been eliminated, and the Avs are facing the Sharks, we’ve moved on from fire/ice jokes to jokes about fishing. I love that the media team is having fun during the playoffs.

With a lot of the more popular teams having already been eliminated the Avalanche have opened their arms to bandwagon fans for the playoffs. I really love this. It’s such a great opportunity to introduce new fans to the team, and even if a lot of them don’t stick around it’s almost guaranteed to get at least some of them to stay.
Hello, bandwagon Avalanche fans!

This year’s playoffs have definitely been an interesting so far. The top seeds of both conferences were eliminated in the first round, and all four wild cards have made it as far as Round 2. I think the lesson here is to expect the unexpected.
Despite the loss in the first game against the San Jose Sharks the team appeared to be in good spirits during practice.
It’s the perfect way to stay loose.

The social media team has their own playoffs superstition and it involves J.T. Compher throwing a tape ball at one of his teammates. He didn’t do it before the last game so of course it’s back now.
Don’t worry guys, we brought the tape ball back... 👀🤣#GoAvsGo https://t.co/yeNvxRhC4e

The Colorado Avalanche have one more game in San Jose before returning home to Denver for the next two games. We’ll be back next week with more social media highlights.
