The Colorado Avalanche enter the festive break in a playoff position. We look at some of the social media highlights of the past week.
The week started with the Avalanche talking about their gaming habits. Tyson Jost has become a Fortnite widow.

Being abandoned for Fortnite hasn’t stopped Tyson from heading into the game with his best mate, though. Here he is looking sharp in a new suit complete with waistcoat.

Tyson Barrie has reached a franchise record for number of assists and is set to smash through this by the end of the season.
With that assist, Tyson Barrie has tied John-Michael Liles for most assists (207) for a defenseman in franchise history.

Gabriel Landeskog out there teaching us all about the importance of hydration.
J.T. Compher and Gabriel Bourque spent some time at a school as part of the TeamFIT initiative.
JT is in charge of the basketball station because he is the best basketball player on the team*.

Gabriel Landeskog was happy when, after a video review, his goal against the Canadiens was declared a good goal.
Spike that water bottle, Landy!#GoAvsGo https://t.co/8M7HkIaxYB

Tyson Barrie, J.T. Compher and Gabriel Landeskog were taken bowling by Kyle Keefe for an Altitude 360 feature. It gave us some social media gems.
If you had to guess who the best bowler was out of Tyson, JT and Gabe, who would it be?#GoAvsGo pic.twitter.com/VWJikz4Fz5

We see you, @GabeLandeskog92! #GoAvsGo https://t.co/HVk6jmLroO
Prior to Friday’s game against the Blackhawks Gabriel Landeskog decided he was suddenly camera shy. I can only presume this is Erik Johnson‘s influence.
When the Captain decides to be camera shy...

(And Josty has no idea!)

It wasn’t popular with everyone though.
JT Compher (politely) does not like LG’s Christmas blazer... 🤣#GoAvsGo https://t.co/QjbQnWrZ9p

Sometimes frustration at the game bleeds onto the Avalanche twitter which is always amusing.
NOT THE CROSSBAR 😫#GoAvsGo #GoAvsGo

Saturday’s game against the Coyotes featured a lot of references to the Christmas movie Elf. It’s one of my favorite holiday movies so this was a source of particular joy for me.
