The Colorado Avalanche took the players’ dads and other family members on the road. We look at some of the best social media post over the past week.

After a win at home against the Dallas Stars the Colorado Avalanche hit the road with the players’ dads and other family members along for the trip.

J.T. Compher was back behind the microphone, interviewing his dad about taking credit for J.T.’s work on the ice.

A lovely photo of the top line and their dads, taken after practice in Nashville.

Of course while the Avs were visiting the Country Music Hall of Fame they had to take some time out to write a country song.

The full version was posted later in the week and is definitely worth a watch.

Patrik Nemeth is continuing his one man mission to stare down the social media team whenever he sees them. It doesn’t matter whether he’s off the ice or on it.

Colin Wilson just being Colin Wilson.

Such a terrible joke but it made me laugh anyway.

When a terrible dad joke makes the social media person laugh behind the camera you know you’re onto a winner.

Social team are back with the interesting facts.

In important suit news Ian Cole has a burgundy and blue suit.

Alexander Kerfoot is unofficially nicknamed The Professor thanks to his Harvard degree. He’s definitely dressed for the part here.

This is such a fun photo of Nikita Zadorov in front of a perfectly placed sign.

Slipping in a little Ariana Grande reference after the win against Pittsburgh.

The team were given a little spelling test. I, for one, am relieved that Sven Andrighetto knows how to spell his own name.

This feels like peak Patrik Nemeth. Gabriel Landeskog hasn’t even noticed the camera but Nemo is there ready to continue his staring.

I really enjoy these One Second Every Day videos as a nice summary of the month

I really love the locker room photos on Instagram. There’s something about the lighting and filters used that just make everyone look good.

Tyson Barrie, who has missed three games due to injury so far, was back at practice in a regular jersey. It’s been confirmed he won’t play against the Red Wings but has travelled with the team and it sounds hopeful that he’ll be ready to play against Pittsburgh on Tuesday.

Prior to the game in Detroit some of the players were quizzed on their knowledge about the long standing rivalry between the Avalanche and the Red Wings. Colin Wilson had a lot to offer on this subject.

J.T. Compher was at least playing attention last time the team was in Detroit, which is evidently more than Colin did.

The Avalanche are now on the road for the next week, which is really going to put them to the test. We’ll be back to look at the best social media posts from their time on the road.
