The Colorado Avalanche returned from their Canadian road trip with two points. We look at the social media highlights over the past week.

The Colorado Avalanche started the week with a game in Edmonton. Home of Tyson Jost  and where his grandfather became a fan favorite last season.

Tyson Barrie scored his first goal of the season, much to the excitement of the media team.

The friendship between Barrie and Nathan MacKinnon has its own hashtag and gets featured regularly on the team social media. Right on cue Mackinnon was there to show some love to his best friend after his first goal of the season.

He certainly looks happy. Lauren Gardner mentioned during this week’s podcast that Tyson had been genuinely worried that he wasn’t going to score a goal this season.

The now famous Mikko Rantanen song, which was unleashed on the hockey world a couple of weeks ago, doesn’t show any signs of going away. Just reading this got the song stuck in my head again.

As the team headed home to Denver after a win in Edmonton the media team shared this amazing Just Go With It video. There are so many amazing reactions and facial expressions that it’s impossible to single out a favorite. The media team have already used gifs of a few of them.

Summary of the Canadian road trip.

On Monday the Avalanche hosted their annual Mile High Dreams Gala which benefits Kroenke Sports Charities. Patrik Nemeth was clearly enjoying himself at the event.

Colin Wilson also appeared to be enjoying himself.

The best friends continuing to support each other while meeting fans.

As the Colorado Avalanche prepared to take on the Bruins there was a nice comparison between their two top lines.

After we mentioned Mark Barberio’s Movember facial hair last week it’s important to talk about Alexander Kerfoot‘s this week. The goatee really suits him.

I’m not sure if Colin Wilson is participating in Movember or not but his facial hair always looks good.

Tyson Jost showed off his playful side during practice. There has been a definite change in his performance since he returned from injury. He has netted three points in four games.

The latest episode of the Avs podcast dropped on Friday. It was particularly interesting listening to them talk about chemistry and how the defensive core in particular are good for each other.

These little behind the scenes snippets are always fun.

Friday was Hockey Fights Cancer night and the team wore some beautiful lavender jerseys during warm ups that were later auctioned off for charity.

Mark Barberio used an interesting tactic to block the puck during the game against the Washington Captials.

Not deterred by the overtime loss the team broke out their dance moves during practice the following morning.

Another road trip means more plane suits. I am concerned about the lack of coats considering it was snowing in Denver when they left. At least Marko Daňo was sensible enough to wear a hat.

Colin actually looks cold, but his lack of coat does mean we get to enjoy his beautiful green suit again.
