EA SPORTS NHL 16 Colorado Avalanche goalies
Semyon Varlamov: 89 (NHL 15: 89)
No change for our No. 1 goaltender. Varlamov is the Avalanche’s backbone — he was outstanding in the division-winning 2013-14 season, and also did a great job last season. His old rating was good, and nothing has changed about that.
Reto Berra: 80 (NHL 15: 80)
I said it in my previous EA Sports NHL 16 post, Reto Berra does not deserve a rating of 80. Except, maybe he does. The thing is that he does well occasionally, while being extremely inconsistent. Luckily, the game has a consistency rating, so as long as Berra is rated low in that, it’s all good.
Calvin Pickard: NOT YET REVEALED (NHL 15: 76)
Calvin Pickard is currently listed as the San Antonio Rampage’s goaltender, which is why his rating is not included in the video. Personally, I gave him a rating of 79.
