Patrick Roy: Let Lines Be.

Head coach Patrick Roy is renowned for fiddling with line combinations. Last season, he repented right about this time, stating that fiddling with the line combos so often led to a lack of chemistry among the forwards.

This season he’s having to face the reality of under-performing top scorers. It’s obvious why he would want to meddle with the lines. However, there have been some bright spots. Matt Duchene did well with the veterans, and he was also starting to develop chemistry with Nate MacKinnon. Of course, he had great chemistry with O’Reilly all last season.

So, maybe the resolution is just to leave Duchene’s line alone.
