The puck won’t go in every time you shoot it, obviously. However, the puck definitely won’t go in if you don’t shoot it. Ok, there was that time Daniel Briere was just trying to pass the puck, and that idiot Hanzal shot it into his own net — that felt like divine retribution for what he’d just done to Johnson, though, so you can’t count on that.
Everyone from EJ to Patrick Roy to the sports analysts recommend shooting the puck more. Honestly, it can’t hurt! (Ok, it can if you’re Alex Tanguay and the shot came from Alex Ovechkin, but that’s a different story.)
