Last night the Colorado Avalanche got a taste of what playoff hockey would be like and from the looks of the final scoreboard they did not like what was served.  The Avalanche dropped what was a must-win game in Denver last night to the visiting Pittsburgh Penguins.  The loss leaves the Avs still three points out of the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

After having their 4-game winning streak snapped by the worst team in the NHL, the Colorado Avalanche welcome the Pittsburgh Penguins to Pepsi Center tonight in what promises to be an awesome game.  After winning the Cup in 2009, the Penguins have remained a powerhouse in the league and will be a true playoff test for the Avs tonight.
