The Colorado Avalanche were in the “Music City” last night to take on the Predators with a prime opportunity to move up in the standings in the Western Conference.  Entering the game, the Avs were sitting in a three-way tie with San Jose and L.A. that occupied the 8^th, 9^th and 10^th spots in the West.  With L.A. losing in Columbus and the Sharks treading in shallow water with Dallas, Colorado had a perfect opportunity to occupy the 8^th spot all by themselves.  The only thing standing in the way of that was the play of the Nashville Predators.

Your Colorado Avalanche are in Nashville tonight to take on the Predators of “The Music City.” For the second time this week, Colorado is playing in an extremely important game.  With the race in the West tighter than bark on a tree, the Avalanche need to capitalize on each and every chance that presents itself.  Nashville exposed some weaknesses in the loss to L.A. on Tuesday, but they are eager to regain their composure from that loss, tonight against the Avs.
