Colorado Avalanche have 7 NBCSN Games

The NHL and NBC released their national television schedule today and the Colorado Avalanche find themselves on NBC Sports Network seven times throughout the season. The first game will be the Avs season opener against the Minnesota Wild in Minnesota on Thursday, October 9.

The first time the Pepsi Center will play host to a nationally televised game will be two days before Christmas when the Avs host Paul Stastny and the St. Louis Blues. Unfortunately, Stastny’s first game at the Pepsi Center as a rival, which takes place on December 13, didn’t make the list.

Other Avalanche games on NBC Sports Network include another meeting against the St. Louis Blues, a clash against rival Detroit Red Wings, two games against the defending Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings, and a game against the San Jose Sharks.

The Avs had four games on NBCSN last season, going 2-2 in those four games.
