NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs Daily Recap: Kings dominate Game 4

Last night in the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Chicago Blackhawks looked to tie their series against the Los Angeles Kings in Los Angeles.

Chicago Blackhawks – 2 Los Angeles Kings – 5 (Kings lead series 3-1)

*The Kings jumped on the Blackhawks in the first 20-minutes, scoring three goals in the first period, and didn’t look back. The home team got goals from Jake Muzzin, Marian Gaborik, and Dustin Brown in a six minute span of the opening frame. Drew Doughty added a fourth goal in the middle of the second period before the Blackhawks finally got on the board thanks to a goal from Brandon Saad. Bryan Bickell cut the lead to 4-2 midway through the third period, but Jonathan Quick, who made 22 saves in the game, held strong and Tanner Pearson iced the game away in the closing moments. Anze Kopitar didn’t score a goal, but had two assists and was selected as the games top star. The Kings have a chance to eliminate the defending NHL Stanley Cup Champions in Chicago on Wednesday.
