NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs Daily Recap: B's/Habs and Kings/Ducks

Last night in the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Bruins tried to split with the Canadiens in Montreal while the Ducks tried to avoid a 0-3 hole against the Kings.

Boston Bruins – 1 Montreal Canadiens – 0 (Series Tied 2-2)

*There were no goals in the first 60 minutes of the game, but just 1:19 into overtime, Matt Fraser scored for the Bruins after a couple of crazy bounces and a scramble in front. Tuuka Rask made 33 saves for Boston while Carey Price made 34 saves in defeat.

Anaheim Ducks – 3 Los Angeles Kings – 2 (Kings Lead Series 2-1)

*The good news for the Ducks is that they managed to snap the Kings six game winning streak and avoid a second round sweep thanks to Teemu Selanne and their power play. The bad news is that Frederik Andersen, the Ducks starter who made 22 saves in the game, went down with an injury and was replaced by Jonas Hiller, who lost the first two games of the series.
