NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs Daily Recap: 5/8

Only one game in the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs last night as the Rangers looked to event their series with the Penguins.

New York Rangers – 2 Pittsburgh Penguins – 4 (Penguins lead series 3-1)

*The Rangers finally solved Marc-Andre Fleury, but it wasn’t enough as Evgeni Malkin scored a goal and added an assist to give the Penguins a stranglehold on this series. The Rangers only managed 15 shots on Fleury while the Penguins peppered Henrik Lundqvist for four goals on 27 shots. The Penguins will look to close out the series on Friday in Pittsburgh.
