Four Avalanche Players Make All Star Ballot

The popularity contest strikes again! The four Avalanche players to find their way on the All Star ballot are: Matt Duchene, Paul Stastny, Milan Hejduk, and Erik Johnson. Congrats to the four of them but I see a lot of unfairness especially to Ryan O’Reilly, Kyle Quincey, and Ryan Wilson.

I doubt Milan Hejduk would argue O’Reilly deserves to be above him in terms of better play to start the season. Not only has O’Reilly added points but he is an outstanding defensive forward. Erik Johnson has chipped in on offense but Quincey has more points while Wilson has the same amount of points while having a +/- advantage of +12. Wish I was surprised but this is the case in all sports all-star games.
