Earlier today the reports out of Colorado made it official that first round draftees Gabriel Landeskog, 2nd overall, and Duncan Siemens, 11th overall, are now members of our Colorado Avalanche.
Both Landeskog and Siemens signed 3 year entry level deals but reports have only released the cap hit of Landeskog, which will be $3.575 million if he makes the Avalanche out of camp.
The deal for Landeskog will pay him only slighly more than Matt Duchene, who received a 3 year entry level contract worth $3.2 million after being drafted 3rd overall in 2009.
I do believe we will see Gabriel Landeskog suited up for the Avalanche this year but with the logjam on the blueline I expect Siemens to spend more time growing in the WHL. Either way good luck to both of these men, who are actually still boys, and congrats are joining the millionaire before 20 club.
