After recently electing to file for arbitration both Ryan Wilson and Kevin Porter have agreed to one year deals with the Avalanche. By agreeing to deals now the team avoids going to arbitration with the young veterans. Both players will be RFAs after their one year deals expire at the end of next season.
The contract for Wilson is worth 1.275 million while Porter’s contract is worth 850K for his one year. If you look at where each player fits on the depth chart their new salary is to be expected and can neither be called unfair or a rip off.
