The Avalanche schedule was just released so we shall all celebrate and after you cool down take a look at the following breakdown. The entire schedule can be seen here.

Facts:

  • Longest Homestand: 8 games (11/18-12/4)
  • Next Longest: 4 games x2 (12/17-12/23 and 2/2-2/10)
  • Longest Road Trip: 5 games (10/10-10/17)
  • Next Longest: 4 games (2/11-2/19)
  • Most Home Games in one Month: 10 x2 (November and Decemeber)
  • Most Away Games in one Month: 9 x2 (January and March)
  • Afternoon games (before 3pm MT): 6

Important Dates:

  • 10/8: Home/Season opener vs Detroit. Also rumored that Peter Forsberg’s number will be retired into the rafters.
  • 10/10: Meeting with Champion Bruins on Monday 1pm EST.
  • 12/27: First meeting with Winnipeg (In Colorado).
  • 1/2: 2012 Winter Classic- Rangers @ Flyers
  • 1/29: 2012 Allstar game
  • 2/19: Avalanche visit Winnipeg.
  • 3/14: Sabres host Avs and I may be there!
  • 3/17 Avalanche travel to MSG and I will definitely be there!
  • 4/7: Preds visit Colorado in the final regular season game (hopefully we will see more hockey).
