Why he fits on the Avalanche: Over the top 1o prospects headed for the NHL Draft Gabriel Landeskog probably compares the most to Jonathan Huberdeau so obviously I feel he fits the Avalanche just as well as Huberdeau does. Landeskogs advantage over many of the other prospects in the draft is he is already large in stature and is definitely one of the most, if the the most, NHL ready prospect. He has great two way skill and I like to look at him as an enhanced Ryan O’Reilly. He is strictly a LW which obviously fulfills a much needed position for the Avalanche and he is a guy who can fill that spot come October 2011.

Why he doesn’t fit on the Avalanche: Much like Huberdeau I find it very difficult in finding a reason why the Avalanche couldn’t fit Landeskog on the team. It once again becomes Landeskog vs Huberdeau. Only issue I have is while Landeskog, just like Huberdeau, has been compared to Forsberg the ISS actually compares him to Mike Richards. While I like Mike Richards I would never select him 2nd in a draft.

Where he ends up: Top 5
