Why he fits on the Avalanche: This is the easy part because Jonathan Huberdeau fits on the Avalanche in every way. A few days ago I attacked the QMJHL for lacking in talent over the past 10 years, with a few exceptions, and I thought Jonathan Huberdeau was maybe just a bust waiting to happen. I now believe those statements are going to wind up very wrong. If you watch 3 seconds of video on this kid you can see his skill immediately. The Q has maybe had less NHL talent in recent years than leagues such as the OHL but when a prospect comes up as high as Huberdeau has you better believe he will be an impact player. Jonathan has been compared to Peter Forsberg and it is easy to see why. His talents are limitless and I believe if the Avalanche used him in the LW role fans would quickly forget who Chris Stewart, who was traded in the Erik Johnson deal, is rather quickly. So I would like to toss out an apology to the QMJHL community and @CarlPeelash who took personal offense to my comments and confronted me, rightly so. In fact you should visit his blog where he writes the QMJHL section.

Why he doesn’t fit on the Avalanche: Honestly I can’t really find a reason here since he fits the bill for Chris Stewart’s spot perfectly. The only thing would be do you take the NHL ready Landeskog or Huberdeau?

Where he ends up: Top 4
