With the Avalanche season in the dumps for the past few weeks my eyes recently turned to the NCAA Hockey Tournament with three Colorado teams fighting for a chance to play in the Frozen Four. Colorado College and Denver were both one win away from a trip to the Frozen Four but neither was able to seal the deal. The four teams who will make up the Frozen Four are: Michigan, North Dakota, Notre Dame, and Minnesota-Duluth. Michigan and North Dakota both have draftees of the Avalanche and UND forward Brad Malone is a player I think can pay huge dividends for the Avs whenever he gets his chance. In the world of the NHL the Avalanche visit the Ducks tonight as they attempt to finish the season better than the 08-09 season.
