So the end of my Spring break seemed to be less a break and more work. Then when I was finally ready to do a weekend recap WCC and a game recap on the shocking Avalanche victory my computer decides not to let me. My thoughts on this was because my computer didn’t believe the Avalanche actually won a game. We’re now back running the WCC and we have news to catchup on, including some new news from yesterday. Also Happy Birthday to Avalanche D-Man Erik Johnson!

Here are some links from the past few days:

-Craig Anderson, who turned down an extension with the Avs, signed a new contract with Ottawa.

-Matt Cooke was back to his usual antics yesterday as he elbowed Ryan McDonaugh in the face. This guy really needs a reality check, a suspension for the rest of the season would help.

-Apparently some people think the Avs and Oilers are still trying hard to win games. They’ve fooled me.

-Dean Blais was named USA HC for the 2012 WJC.

-Many unknowns about the health of Manny Malhotra.

-P.K. Subban has his first career hat trick.

-Too Many Men on the Site: A Day in the NHL: Monday March 21

-Have we seen enough of Matt Cooke? I think I saw enough back when he was a Canuck.

-The finalist for the Hobey Baker Award were announced.

-A breakdown of each of the NCAAH Tournament regionals: Manchester, St. Louis, Green Bay, Bridgeport.

-The next Avalanche star, Stefan Elliott, has signed!

-Here is a recap of the Avs WIN vs Edmonton.

-Take a look at the NHL Calder race.

-Potential for a Big 10 hockey conference?

-20 years ago today was the 70 save game by the Nordiques Ron Tugnutt.
