Number 1 Spot Up For Grabs?

Is the starting goaltending position up for grabs? When you look at both goalies less than impressive numbers you have to hope so. Anderson is 11-8-2 with a 3.13 gaa, while Budaj is 10-6-3 with a 3.03 gaa. And while Anderson is the starting backstopper, Coach Sacco has chosen to give Budaj a few starts raising the question who is number 1. Understanding that the verbs that best describe the team are all reason that ad to the goal against average. Youngest team, wounded, inexperienced blueline, etc. You have to wonder how can the Avs continue to contend for a playoff position with lackluster goaltending. As I’ve mentioned time and time again the Avs have something special going right now and we need a goalie who can save the team from itself when the sticks aren’t hot.

On a mile high note
: A special shout out goes to Tyler Ennis of the Sabres for the save on the potential game winner. The one time his coach was wrong about keeping your stick on the ice. And although Wilson may not thank him, we thank him for the high stick in OT that lead to the winner. Thanks Ennis!

A second shout out goes to M-M-M-M-Matt Duchene! Rumble young man rumble! It’s too early to make comparisons but he’s beginning to remind me of a certain Captain that always used to come through in the clutch!
