10 Things Avs Fans Should Give Thanks For!

As Thanksgiving approaches here are some things we Avs fans should be thankful for!

10. Youth – A young talented team that doesn’t know when or how to quit! Thanks

9. Peter Budaj – I’ll be the first to admit when Anderson went down I thought things would go south. As a matter of fact I’m shocked Budaj is still an Av. However we have to give a thanks to Budaj for protecting our net during Anderson’s injury. An excellent back-up goaltender, thanks!

8. Players returning from IR – 10 players have seen the IR list and well some more than others will really inject more passion, drive and talent when they get back. Thanks

7. Kevin Shattenkirk’s shot – After the game against the Stars where Shattenkirk hurt Jere Lehtinen with a slapshot and then knocked his helmet of with another the league is aware and more importantly goalies know to respect the kids shot. Thanks

6. A long line of prospects and call-ups – We give an extra special thanks to the cherry busters and other players from the Lake Erie Monsters. They have proved valuable and reliable so far this season. Thanks

5. Goal Scoring – Games this season have been a pleasure to watch because we have lit the lamp so many times. Anytime you have a high scoring team you should be thankful. Thanks

4. John Michael Liles – Off to a great season, with a record breaking point scoring streak under his belt what more can we ask for. Thanks

3. Craig Anderson – Mister Anderson, finds a way to keep us in games and given the fact we have been scoring a lot his play can keep us in the win column. Thanks

2. Chris Stewart – A dominate winger, his point per game average will help keep us winning. His attitude and ability to lift the team up with a fight, look, or goal will lead us to the playoffs. Thanks

1. A winning record – Thanks!
